Examples of this boundary incudes: underwear, bras, pants, socks and shirts. Clothing is seen as a physical boundary and is respected by the therapist and will always be communicated with the client.
Can I listen to my own music/podcasts during my session?
Absolutely! As long as there is no sexual content in the podcasts and the music is not sexually suggestive, you’re more than welcome to listen to whatever relaxes you the most. Sexual content of any kind will mean an immediate forfeit in your session.
Does Elysian Therapeutic Massage offer couples massages?
Unfortunately, we do not at the moment.
Is it required to tip my therapist?
No, but it is always appreciated.
Why is it important to set expectations before a massage?
Not every client is created equal, so not every massage will be either. It is always beneficial to discuss your current needs as they can change day to day. This ensures consistent success to meet your needs as they change.
Why is my medical history important to a massage?
There are medical details that will change how your therapist will approach a massage. Whether you have tender scar tissue, a recent surgery, diabetes, use muscle relaxers, currently on pain medication etc. assists your therapist in giving you the best experience possible.
